A single writer’s quarterly export can run tens of thousands of rows before any analysis begins.

The BMI Royalty Compressor consolidates that export into a tight, per-work and per-source roll-up. Income type, performance source, and territory are preserved as columns, the totals still reconcile to the BMI statement, and the file shrinks to a fraction of its original size.

From there, it’s easy to spot top-earning works, audit unusual swings between quarters, prepare co-writer or sub-publisher statements, and load the data into a downstream royalty system without the raw export becoming the bottleneck.
